Greetings fellow houseboaters!  I recently purchased a 1974 Nautaline 43 and don't know much about it yet.  The boat set pretty much unused for a few years and I want to do some maintenance prior to winterization.  Oil change, Transmission oil change, etc.

It's a Mercruiser stern drive Model 225II-TR and has ford 302 engines.  In the owners manual it says to use Type A, Suffix A or Dextron ATF in the transmission, none of those seem to exist today and the auto stores don't have a clue.  What's a compatible ATF to use?

Second question is on power trim oil.  The manual says Quicksilver Formula 4 SAE 20W or SAE 20-20W.  I can't find the Quicksilver and  no one seems to be able to explain what 20-20W oil is.  Is regular 20W oil okay to use?  Any info is appreciated.

Use Dexron fluid. Use your favorite brand of engine oil. 20W is same as 20-20W

Captainwhitebeard try this, go to profile on toolbar above and click. This will open up a window with two choices Profile / Personal Options click on the Personal Options choice. Scroll down to Editor Type: towards the bottom and you'll again have two choices WYSIWYG Editor or HTML Editor you're now on the former and need to change it to HTML Editor after choosing HTML go to bottom and click Update Profile and you should be good to go.
