For
sale is a 1968 43' Nautaline houseboat. It is equipped
with twin Chrysler 318's with V-drives. This is a project
boat because it needs interior work. It will need all
furniture and furnishings. It has a full head with a shower
and two marine air units but are not sure if the air/heat units
work. The boat also has a fully functional fly bridge with bimini
top. The cabin floor and stringers have had some work and
appear to have been done ok but would highly recommend having a
survey done if interested. I acquired this boat from a
service marine shop. Both motors had been gone through and
the owner filed bankruptcy on the shop. They had it several years
and I have done business with them a lot in the past, they sold it
too me for a project. Due to loss of overtime and the fact I
have another houseboat I do not have the finances or time to finish
this project. Asking $2,500.00 ,does not have a trailer. It
is currently dry docked sitting on barrels. Boat was sold
for $ 1,600.00

Hi, you don't mention where the boat can be seen, or if you have clean paper.

engines have run?

I bet that boat is long gone. I didn't realize how sought
after Nautalines were till we got ours. Ours has had the stringers
and transom replaced and glassed in and is a real solid boat.
We have people tell us all the time that when we get ready to
sell, let them know. So, If ours is any indication , the boat
probably found an owner real fast.

i have a friend who wants to sell his 1969 nautaline
houseboat. It's 14' x 45' , twin 318 engines, excellent
condition, and was featured in Houseboat Magazine summer 1996.
It is currently on Lake Cumberland Somerset Ky.The problem
is we know nothing at all about nautaline
houseboats and i was wondering if you could suggest a web site or
something that i could look at maybe as a guideline to how to price
the boat .Thanks

The best place to find prices in my opinion is to google nautalines
and just check the prices of the ones for sale. That way you can
compare options.. Be sure to post your price when you decide,
I may know someone who might be interested.

firsttimenautaline,
houseboatKC is right. Get an idea from the ads, but, there are some
things you need to look for. We researched HB's for over a year and
looked at hundreds of them. Each time, we learned a little more. We
settled on a 1972/3 Nautaline 43 footer with twin 318's and we love
the boat. It is built like a tank compared to many, many boats we
looked at and compared it to. It is very stable in the water
and is very maneuverable. Stringers and transom were know to
be susceptible to rot in the rear section because of the weep holes
not being glassed in. Our Nautaline was hauled and had the
stringers and the transom replaced, glassed, with no holes drilled
in them, so we should not have a rot problem for years and years.
It is solid as a rock. I think rot is the biggee. All the
other stuff like wiring and switches are not that hard to re-do. We
have re-done a lot of these little, "headaches", and I guess that
is part of the joy of owning a boat.
We will probably sell this boat, because we want something bigger.
When we sell it, we will be looking for $28K and it is worth every
penny, because it is a good, well taken care of boat. I've seen
some exactly like it, but not quite as well taken care of that will
go for $18K, and that is probably a good price, if you are willing
to sink a few thousand into it. Just research and know what
it needs(read survey here) and figure what your willing to do to
fix it up. I've already learned from experience that
you will need to work on it.

Nautaline did not make a 45 ft boat. They made a 34 a 43 and a 48. your prices are right, the big seller for the 43 and 48 was the 14 ft beam.
