Frank

Louisville is definitely not dry. They have concessions that sell beer at the show and usually there is a cash bar set up in the center of the show. Plus there is always a wide variety of night life after the show closes in the evening. One thing though, Louisville does have a smoking ban on most public buildings. The Expo is always a lot of fun and very informative. See you there !!!

Kentucky? DRY? Ever hear of Bourbon whiskey? Kentucky is famous for its distilleries. And for that matter, for the Kentucky Derby's famous Mint Juleps. Louisville has a zillion bars, brewpubs, restaurants, and other outlets for spirits of a wide variety.

But it does have dry areas. The county in which Jack Daniels hails from is dry. You can make it, but not drink it. Go Figure.

yBT, small error on your part about Jack Daniels distillery in Lynchberg, Tennessee. they do make it, and you can drink it, you just can't buy it in any storres there There is lots of consumptiuon therebelieve me, I am a witness to that fact.

It is amazing - everthing around here is happening on the 14, 15 and 16th of March. Many reasons to stay home.

However, right now - this day - my wife maintains - we are going up North - to the winter wonderland of Kentucky - to see a bunch of Houseboat things.

I know I married her for a reason !!

At this time, BananaTom says - " See Ya "
at the Houseboat Magazine's Houseboat Expo.

Lindee is in charge - I believe it will AWESOME !!!!!!!!

This is proof that they do distill spirits in the Louisville (that's pronounced "lou-a-vul" when all y'all go to the expo) area, but we think Black Jack from Lynchburg, TN, is better!

ok....maybe I'm losing it, but I can't figure out how to attach/insert a picture any more. Can someone help?

I would like to thank Lindee and her crew for putting on another Great Houseboat Show 2008 this past weekend. went down with another couple from our Yacht Club and had a wonderful time. Plenty to spend your money on(my wife can vouch for that) and plenty of cold adult beverages.

WELL DONE LINDEE!

I second that MillerTyme, the show was great. I went Saturday and Sunday with two couples from our dock. Of course it was in my home town so it was a little easier for me. Can't wait until next year for the show, but first a great boating summer!!!!!!
