Really enjoyed the "Tale of Two Time Zones" and my wife got a good laugh from your selected thread from the forums. She does not read the forums, as I do. I have to direct her to do so, like in reading read "Ted 655 - now coming down the Mississippi". She really enjoyed his story, as all others did.
She did read this new publication from cover to cover and did enjoy the posh posh stuff. This is a well rounded presentation appealing to many different type readers.
Then she stated that we need to go to "The 2008 Houseboat Expo in Louisville, KY, March 14th - 16th". So I have marked my calendar accordingly and scheduled that time as vacation. We will drive a car there, unless Ted and Zone man offer a cruise package. :-)
Do I have to drive through Paducah to get there from Pensacola??
I would be an Uneasy Rider.
If so, I probably would "Re-route my trip through Omaha" as Charlie Daniels does to avoid Jackson, MS.
Again, Congratulations! on a Great Publication! Keep up the good work!
Banana Tom,
Thanks for taking the time to let us know that you enjoyed the November issue. I really appreciate the feedback and when you make it to Louisville the March (whichever route you decide to take) please stop by the Houseboat magazine booth and say hi!
By the way, Mapquest hasn't steered me wrong ...
I have never been to Louisville. So I did check it with my computer router, and hey, Louiseville is on I-65! Straight north of my house. I have been through there without knowing it as I wiz by heading north on a vacation or two years ago.
Actually, when traveling on I-65, the mile marker on it, is the actual milage to my front door, as is I-10 in Florida.
I also checked and it appears that I will have to travel within 118 miles of Paducah, I think that is a safe distance. Don't you??
So for now, that trip is on and scheduled.
And yes, we will stop by your booth.
I have never been to the boat show before, is your booth like, in a houseboat or something??
Thank goodness for technology! I couldn't have made it around Georgia or Kentucky for that matter without it.
As much as I'd like it to be, no floating-boat-booth. But if it were, we'd all have alot more fun--and probably not get as much work done. Hey, I might have to check in to that for next year!
See you at the show-
