We are new boat owners and have much to learn. So I hope this
isn't a dumb question. The water is supposed to drain from
the deck out the 'C' channels and keep the engine compartment
dry. Well, during the last rain storm it didn't work.
We made sure the drain openings were clean and the channels
were clean.
Now we know why the previous owner had duct tape over the openings.
Unacceptable solution.

Hope you have a great day, you deserve it.
Open hatches and use garden hose to put water in channel, watch how
it drains. May find boat is bow low.

I have kind of the same problem. However, I only get water in the engine bilge(100+gal) in winter after the first freeze. When that water thaws I pump it out and not so much as a drop until winter comes again. Happened the last four years i a row.
