Can anyone tell me the reason why their appear to be no Houseboats in this general area?

I have a restored 1973 Starcraft cruiser (steel hull) that i am considering moving from Lake Wylie, SC to the coast.

I have talked to Marina owners in that area, but no one can tell me why there are no housebats there.

Maybe I am slow, but i can not figure it out.

Thanks in advance for your input

Greetings fellow houseboaters! I recently purchased a 1974
Nautaline 43 and don't know much about it yet. The boat set
pretty much unused for a few years and I want to do some
maintenance prior to winterization. Oil change, Transmission
oil change, etc.

It's a Mercruiser stern drive Model 225II-TR and has ford 302
engines. In the owners manual it says to use Type A, Suffix A
or Dextron ATF in the transmission, none of those seem to exist
today and the auto stores don't have a clue. What's a
compatible ATF to use?

Second question is on power trim oil. The manual says
Quicksilver Formula 4 SAE 20W or SAE 20-20W. I can't find the
Quicksilver and no one seems to be able to explain what
20-20W oil is. Is regular 20W oil okay to use? Any info
is appreciated.

HiRecently purchased and had transported to our lake a nice Gibson.
It is pretty good shape. Will need valve job on Onan, but both
engines are great, stringers, decks seem to be in good
conditionDuring transport apparently the bathroom window was
broken. Any ideas on where to buy replacement ?I am also interested
in how others are handling hot water, anchor/wench/windlass. And if
anyone knows where top find a flybridge, that would be great.
Pictures would be appreciated. Placement of certain things would
help. Especially if you are using inverters, tankless water
heaters, etc. Thanks again
