Bravada Yachts nationally debuted its line of houseboats at the Houseboat Expo last March in Louisville, Ky. This luxury brand has quickly made a name for itself in the ever-changing houseboat market by mixing top-of-the-line amenities with a yacht-like design and a streamlined manufacturing process. Production at its 65,000-square-foot plant in Phoenix, Ariz., began in January 2010.

"Many of the more notable houseboat manufacturers fell into financial hardship with the downturn in the economy, and we saw an opportunity to launch Bravada Yachts," says Jim Goettl, owner of Compass North Industries, manufacturer of Bravada Yachts. "Being a young start up, we didn't have the financial load as many of our competitors."

Currently, Bravada Yachts offers its clients four models, the Adventure Series, LT, GT and Limited. Each model line comes with an array of top tier amenities. Buyers will enjoy the choices of custom cabinetry, granite counter tops, and incredible commercial-styled kitchens. They can also choose to include drop-down flat screen TVs with full theater surround sound, and an additional commercial-styled kitchen for the second level living area. Bravada Yachts offers the ability for the buyer to customize his boat with his own signature stamp on the design.

"Purchasing and building a houseboat should be a great experience for the owners and their families," says Goettl. "We constantly strive to offer the industry's best, not only in our product, but also throughout the entire build process, from initial design to delivery. When I first started telling people we were going to manufacture large houseboats in Phoenix, most looked at me as if I had finally lost my last marble.
