Thoroughbred President Steps Down

May 2014 Industry

Thoroughbred Houseboats President and shareholder Shawn Heinen, one of the industry’s staples who has played a significant role in growing the industry, has decided to pursue other interests.

“Certainly I have enjoyed a lot of great times and excitement developing and building great boats,” says Heinen. “We have innovated and achieved great success in our efforts to elevate the level of style, design and quality that we are now famous for.”

Even though Shawn and his wife Dawn have relocated to Texas, the former president will remain a shareholder as well as part-owner of Thoroughbred with his partners Mike Bernard and Rod Parrish.

“I will remain not only as a shareholder, but an important part of the sales team,” says Heinen. “I know the business, so this distance away is really no big deal. Dawn is also ready and willing to work with anyone that desires her design and decoration services.”

Houseboat magazine would like to thank Shawn for his years of service and wish him the best of luck as he moves forward.
