I just spent two weeks on a 35' Catamaran Cruizer on a trailer grinding, filling, and painting. I found about 35 blisters on one pontoon and 10 blisters on the other pontoon. I lost count of the number of packages of MarineTex that we used, but we were not far from a gallon. Some of them were really deep. When I called the manufacturer they said they barrier coat the toons on my boat, so it shouldn't have any blisters. Yea, right!

Not fun work, but I am done.

What are you going to coat them with after fixing the blisters?

I assume you have fiberglass pontoons? Mine are aluminum. I cleaned the water line this last weekend b/c it was covered with super nasty growth. The 'toons cleaned up nicely! I'm embarassed to say, but that was the 1st time I cleaned them in 4 years of ownership.

Yes, the catamaran cruisers are fiberglass. I used two coats of interlux 2000e and two coats of bottom paint.

If I could figure out how to post pictures I would. It was amazing how deep some of the blisters were.

Easiest way is to post them on Photobucket, then provide a link to them.
