Hey guys!
Dave from Kings Cover Marina in Hastings, Minn., emailed me and thought it would a good idea to start this new topic on the forum. I completely agree. I would love to see your DIY projects and hear about your boat remodels.

Katie I agree it would be interesting to read and follow some rebuilds and or remodels here. But there is one sort of issue, those kind of posts and pictures go hand to hand to really enjoy and follow. The problem is and has for some time been that a person can't upload a photo to this site. I tried again actually twice just before posting this both times they failed and they were good jpeg photos.

I can't wait to post about our remodel.... but I think we have to finish the thing for the first time, before I do that, right?
Photos are easy enough, put 'em of Photoshop, then put a link here.

hi , I'm in the process of building a 55 foot pontoon boat,
any diy people have any ideas to make a deck, without the use of plywood, my first attempt was on a piece of flat galvanized ribbed metal, I fill the voids with wood chips and resin, what the following layer of a mat and roving, it's too flexible , I'm looking for the most reasonable price solution.
if I use a marine grade plywood as a core, gel coat all sides, two layers on each side, would anybody know the life expectancy of that?

40+ years if you seal all penetrations.
The fries are cold so we gave you extra.

use Nida core instead of plywood. its lighter and will never rot
