Great Loop and the Big Bite

Anyone here ever do the big bite? Between Tarpon Springs, FL and Carrabelle, FL?

An even better question, has anyone ever taken a trip from the Florida Keys and up to Mobile? Any idea on the length of time? I am guessing 4-5 days.

Depends on the weather, type Houseboat, how much sight-seeing/fishing/swimming, or partying you want to do along the way. From the Keys to Mobile, I'd guess 7-9 days on a coastal route. Sea conditions and weather would dictate how long (assuming fuel and fun are not factors) it would take.

I have ran from the "Jumping Off Point" New Port Richey to Panama City, straight across the Gulf Mexico in a single screw Mainsail at 6 knots. Equaled a 24 hour trip in flat seas.
