Removing carpet from walls and what to put over the area

Ok so we are totally newbies and trying to bring our Holiday Mansion houseboat to a newer modern look without doing any damage to the boat. We would like to remove the carpet from off of the walls and put something a little more modern. Also we have 2 full beds (mattress touching 3 walls) we would like to make a king and some storage --- any ideas would be lovely.

There are vynil coverings that work well on boats. However note: Carpeted walls provide noise deadening and prevent condensation. Unless you are big people you might opt for a lift up queen with storage underneath. These are popular with the RV people. Since you are thinking of starting with a blank space, take some time and investigate how the travel trailer community utilizes space. They are experts at space utilization.
The fries are cold so we gave you extra.

Are you talking about the carpet on the walls in the Lower Stateroom, I would want it carpeted, for sound control.
Take it off, and place something other than carpet, like vinyl, and it is going to get very loud done there in that hole.

    PS: Welcome aboard!!
