Rest in peace pirate

Started looking for my buddy. Called the Pickensville Pirate Marina Cove, to learn it isn't there any longer.

In a past post here, he had posted up he was taking over Smithville Marina.

I called there to learn that just before Ed signed the papers to take over that marina, he was killed in a car crash.

Rest In Peace Buddy.

ALICEVILLE – Henry Edsel "Ed" Orton, Jr., age 75, of Aliceville, Ala., died May 7, 2018, in Columbus, Miss. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Jim Robinson officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th St. NE in Aliceville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Orton and his parents.

Survivors include his best friend, Martha Farr of Aliceville, Ala. and numerous cousins.

Ed was born November 13, 1942 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Henry E. Orton, Sr., and Betty Gay Orton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Sorry I'm tagging onto this so late but I've been experiencing my own health issues and haven't checked into this site in a long, long time. Pirate carried a wealth of information and knowledge that will be missed by many, and may he RIP...
