We just replaced all our outdoor carpet. Like everything else houseboat related, it wasn't cheap. Can anyone share some tips on keeping it clean while prolonging the life of the carpet? Does Wet & Forget damage it in the long run?

Never had outdoor carpet, just interior carpet.
Lake style (barge) houseboats are loaded with carpet. Manufacturers have tried different materials over the years, especially on the swim decks, with mixed results. Carpet always seems to be the most cost effective solution over time. Several of my neighbors have gone with SeaDek, which looks great on the swim decks. It's expensive, but seems to hold up well.

My goal is to find the right cleaning products and maintenance routine to get as much life out of my carpet as possible.
