New to houseboating! Very weak cell phone signal in most coves. What is best solution for WiFi to stream on smart TV?
Welcome to the forum! Our marina has very slow wifi, due to rural location. Several of my dock neighbors use cell hotspots to get decent bandwidth. This is hit or miss when coved out as you mentioned. Many at our dock have satellite TV service, which works great in most coves. Internet service through one of the satellite providers might worth looking into. Its my understanding that the providers don't charge much extra for TV on your houseboat if you already have their service at home. I don't know if that would apply for internet.
Good luck. And please share what solution you come up with.
Well, A satellite service might be your only option.
I just checked with "Follow Me", a service that many boaters used for 25 years, to get TV onboard.
They have retired, and no longer provide the service. It was a great service.
It was initiated to service boaters.
Take a look for a comparable service.
PS: Welcome Aboard.
