Want to replace my inverter, any suggestions?

    I currently have a Xantrex RV3012GS (3000 watt) inverter.
I want to replace it with a true sine wave unit.
Does anyone know what the houseboat manufacturers are installing these days??

    Thanks.

My friend took delivery of a new Sumerset (Trifecta) in November 2020. His boat has a Magnum 3000 pure sine wave.

Let us know what you end up with. I would like to upgrade ours at some point.

Zilpo55, I looked at the Magnum. Models were confusing, expensive, and generally not available.... Having a Xantrex now (which is still going strong after 20 years) I have ordered another Xantrex. The Freedom XC Pro Marine 3000 12volt. VERY small unit, cheaper, and uses solid state components to invert (most units out there are still using transformers). Anyway, don't want to start a war over one vendor vs another, just saying, this is what I have chosen to go with. Arrives soon so looking forward to installing it.

FreddyMac, I replaced our onboard battery charger with a Xantrex 3-bank unit over a year ago. It came strongly recommended by a friend. It is far more sophisticated than our original charger at a very reasonable price. I would lean toward Xantrex on an inverter myself. Keep us posted.
