    Season winding down

Now that Labor Day has passed the numbers of boats are dropping significantly. I've seen lots of neighbors pull their boats and toys for the winter. Fall is probably our favorite time for boating here in KY. 2021 was a great boating season for us, but it will be ending soon

October is the what we call "Local's Time".
The tourists are gone, for the most part.
The water turns a beautiful blue.
    Still warn enough to swim.
And many Flat days to run in.

We get to enjoy local's time ourselves for about 5 weeks before we head south. Tying out is different because the Corps lowers the lake over 30 feet exposing many interesting places to beach, explore, and have bonfires. Warm days and chilly nights makes for great sleeping weather.
