Seven Crown Resorts, one of the nation's largest houseboat vacation rental companies, is adding their flagship vessel, the Grand Sierra EX, to the Bridge Bay Resort fleet at California's Lake Shasta. The introduction coincides with the Memorial Day weekend, the kick off to the summer houseboat vacation season.
The Grand Sierra EX is a split-deck cruiser that sleeps up to 13 guests in complete comfort. A penthouse sleeping area, spiral staircase, waterslide, fly bridge, swim platform and spacious upper deck are some of the architectural details that make this the premier houseboat of the fleet. The most fully equipped model in the Seven Crown Resorts fleet, the Grand Sierra EX has all the necessities for comfort plus summer vacation luxuries that include air-conditioning, 20-inch color television, a fully-equipped kitchen with microwave oven and refrigerator, gas barbecue (propane included), full and half bathrooms, deck chairs, AM/FM/CD radio and VCR/DVD player. Boating enthusiasts praise the Grand Sierra EX's twin 60/70 hp Evinrude outboard motors and the dual 100-gallon fuel tanks; those new to houseboating praise its ease of handling.
Lake Shasta was chosen as the second Seven Crown Resort site to receive the Grand Sierra EX because of its popularity as a houseboating destination. The area has a plethora of recreational activities including wakeboarding, waterskiing, fishing, hiking, golf and attractions including the Shasta Caverns and the Sundial Bridge. The Grand Sierra EX also is available at the company's marina at Lake Mohave's Katherine Landing. More information on the Grand Sierra EX is available for boaters on the Seven Crown website at www.sevencrown.com or by calling Seven Crown Resorts toll-free at 800-752-9669.
