Nominate Your Dock Mate for Houseboat Magazine's 2008 Houseboater of the Year

 

Know someone deserving of the coveted "Houseboater of the Year" title? Maybe you're thinking of that dock buddy-you know-the one that always has the right tool in a pinch and is always the first to offer a hand. Or, is it that lovely couple a few slips down who go out of their way to make sure everyone is invited to the dock parties? The Houseboater of the Year embodies the spirit of what we do, serves as an advocate for the community and knows how to have a little fun along the way.

All nominations must be received by January 15th. All submitted material becomes the property of Harris Publishing and will not be returned unless prior arrangements have been made.

Note: Employees of houseboat manufacturers are not eligible to win.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

A potential Houseboater of the Year must:

1.      Serve the houseboating community through advocacy and example. (What specific contributions has this person made to his/her dock, marina or houseboat club? How has this person promoted houseboating to the non-houseboating crowd?)

2.      Be a long-time houseboater.

3.      Own his/her own houseboat.
