Meet The Amphibious Camper

July 2015 Industry, News Austa Cook Web Exclusive

Houseboaters have it pretty easy, getting a good taste of the outdoors from the comfort and style of their water-bound homes. But this is the point where two worlds meet like never before.

According to the BMW M-Blog, German inventor Daniel Straub, an outdoorsy 33-year-old, created the amphibious caravan dubbed the Sealander for those who like camping or “glamping” (glamorous camping). If you like taking life in the slow lane, this might be just the set-up for you. The 380kg vehicle cruises up to 5.6 miles per hour when it’s out of the water and can be towed with a car to your idealistic spot for boating. This is where comfort and relaxation gives camping and boating a good, hearty handshake. Check out the video to see it in action!
