When you hear the words “trailerable houseboat,” you might be reminded of recent builds like this bike-trailerable model—but the Transformis Inspire goes a step further from anything you’ve seen thanks to its remarkable ability to expand. According to gizmag.com, Australian mechanical engineer Claudia Moffat has finally created a houseboat that could visit both land and water and be more easily transported without compromising on living space.
The Inspire is 27.6 feet long on the water and about 30 feet including the trailer on land, with the slide-out boxes expanding this houseboat’s width from 7.9 to 11.8 feet. If you ever want a break from the water, the Inspire can also camp out on land, since the slide-out system is tweaked to work while trailered as well. Now, that’s unique!
