Cardboard Houseboat Meets Water

April 2016 News Web Exclusive

What happens when cardboard makes contact with water? Common sense tells us that, obviously, the cardboard would soak and then sink.

Enter London’s Harry Dwyer and Charlie Waller. Thanks to this video shared by Belfast Telegraph, you’ll get to watch 10 days of work and 300 old boxes transform into a shockingly seaworthy houseboat—complete with bubble wrap flag and a real outboard. After the success of their recent test float, Harry and Charlie plan on heading down the River Thames to London’s ExCeL to launch this unusual houseboat at Grand Designs Live.

Needless to say, this puts a whole new twist on recycling!
