Coming To Lake Cumberland...

June 2016 News Web Exclusive

If you’re going to be in the Lake Cumberland, Ky., area this summer, we have some exciting news! Jamestown Resort & Marina is opening up a new restaurant complete with ribbon cutting ceremony. The extra interesting part? It’s called the Cumberland Tap Restaurant. If you can read between the lines, you’ll know this means they’ll be able to sell alcohol there.

Russell County has been a dry county for a long time—though that doesn’t necessarily mean no one has been drinking at Lake Cumberland, as Senator Chris Girdler joked in a video posted of the ceremony by Janette Keller Marson and shared by LakeCumberland.com on Facebook. The Senator also pointed out that over 4 million visitors come enjoy the refreshing waters of Lake Cumberland every year. With a new restaurant selling cold ones, that number might get even bigger. Just be sure to drink responsibly.
