PlukebaumFor a pleasure cruise or a year-round lifestyle, from the moment you board a Pluckebaum craft you are in command of one of the world's finest houseboats. This Kentucky-based manufacturer traced its roots back to 1932 when Arthur Pluckebaum and his brother first started building boats. In 1946, Arthur built the first Pluckebaum houseboat, a steel hull and wood superstructure that would ultimately be the beginnings of Pluckebaum Custom Boats, Inc.

During the years, over 600 Pluckebaum boats have been produced. Today, son Dennis Pluckebaum is in charge and continues his father's tradition of custom, all-aluminum coastal cruisers, motor yachts and commercial specialty vessels. Pluckebaum produces only a handful of boats per year, each one custom-built to the owner's specifications.

Pluckebaum's all-welded aluminum hull and superstructure provide exceptional strength and durability in unusual light-weight and corrosion-resistant construction. The exclusive deep keel and modified V-bottom hull provide cruiser-like stability and handling. The exclusive propulsion system, designed by Arthur and Dennis Pluckebaum, positions the engines and power generators completely astern. Inside the spacious cabin you'll find luxurious accommodations, ideal for entertaining or family living. Some houseboats are not suited for offshore operation, but Pluckebaum houseyachts are the exception. Owners are venturing across the Gulf of Mexico from Apalachicola or Mobile to Tampa and Fort Myers and the Florida Keys. Pluckebaum Custom Boats also offers a full service maintenance department and will service any make or model.

2011 Recap

Like most boat builders, this past year has been very challenging for new construction. Service work has kept Pluckebaum busy and they will work on any make or model. Some of the work this past year includes overall boat painting, fabricating new swim platforms, installing bow thrusters and general boat maintenance for this manufacturer.
