There is a state run campground available with full hook ups. Sheer walls and lave flows surround the Deschutes arm.
The Metolius arm is the biggest arm and the least accessible arm of the lake to access by car. The cool and clear waters of the Metolius River feed this arm. For those who enjoy photography and sight seeing there are balancing rocks and many unique rock formations. Wild horses and bald eagles can be seen along the canyon walls. The Metolius arm is home to many record bull trout up to 20 plus pounds and a big population of Kokanee. There are two public campgrounds on this arm.
