GOST, Global Ocean Security Technologies) is releasing the GOST Apparition. This touchscreen marine security tracking system is the most customizable and powerfusl GOST system ever released, and was designed with large boats (like your houseboat) in mind. It is controlled via touchsreen keypads installed throughout a vessel.
“With a constant drive towards making our systems easier to use, incorporating a touchscreen keypad was the logical evolution,” said Jay Keenan, president and CEO, GOST. “If the system goes into alarm, the customer can simply touch a flashing icon and see the exact location of the sensor in alarm. In a high-stress situation, this can be particularly helpful, giving users precise situational awareness and complete control regardless of the emergency.”
Apparition keypads can be bought in 5- and 7-inch models and up to 16 touchscreens can be connected in one network. This system can support up to 192 sensors, aaccess control for up to 32 external or internal doors and hatches, and lets users check the status of each one by simple touching any of the screens installed throughout a vessel. Different rules for different doors can be programmed, granting or denying access as you wish, and users can also program up to 8 partitions – security systems within the overarching system. Apparition can use both wireless and hardwired sensors, because of the innovative design of the system’s digital architecture. Partnered with Wireless Expansion Module (WEX), signal strength is eliminated. This allows for the use of up to 32 additional wireless sensors, such as high-water, low-voltage, smoke and heat detectors, intrusion detection sensors, it’s highly customizable to fit every user’s fancy. The free app gets push notifications from the system and displays alerts on your smartphone.
It looks like technology just got smarter. Spooky smart.
This is a GOST you’ll wanna see.
