Houseboats In Unusual Places

Published in the November 2018 Issue November 2018 Feature

Horsetooth Reservoir is a reservoir in southern Larimer County, Colo., just west of the city of Fort Collins. It’s approximately 6.5 miles long and roughly a half mile wide, providing a great body of water for day-use boaters. So imagine our surprise when we came across this 65-foot houseboat docked at the Inlet Bay Marina. It works for these houseboaters, even though most wouldn’t consider this reservoir to be ideal for houseboats.

We’re going to start highlighting houseboats that are in unusual places (non-traditional houseboating lakes) and could use your help. Have you come across a houseboat (or is it your houseboat) in an usual place? If so, we want to hear from you. Please send a photo and some information to the email address heather@houseboatmagazine.com and your story could be the next boat we highlight in our “Houseboats In Unusual Places” section.
