Cypress Springs Hit By Storms

April 2006 News

Five of six docks were destroyed at Cypress Springs resort in Concord, Ky. According to Cypress' Louie Williams, dock damage totaled about $600,000, but he said it was too early to know how much damage was caused to the boats. Farther east, in Kentucky's Christian County, officials declared a state of emergency from the storm. A tornado there Sunday night was part of a storm that plowed through western and central Kentucky, destroying a large swath of homes in its path.
