SeaKeeper will display demo boat at East Coast shows

September 2009 News

SeaKeeper will be visiting several East Coast marinas this fall with its 43-foot Viking demo boat to introduce boaters to the latest in internal gyro stabilization technology.

The inaugural stop will be Trawlerfest Oct. 1-4 in Solomons, Md.; followed by the U.S. Powerboat Show Oct. 15-18 in Annapolis.

Seakeeper's demo boat will also be at the City Megadock Oct. 22 in Charleston, S.C.; and Pirate's Cove Marina Oct. 26 in Stuart, Fla. It will arrive in Fort Lauderdale Oct. 29-Nov. 2 for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Actively controlled by motion sensors and computer processors, the Seakeeper M7000 Gyro is designed to optimize torque to produce a powerful righting force that virtually eliminates boat rock and roll. Operating in a near-vacuum, the compact gyro spins faster, weighs less and consumes less power than comparative products, according to the company.
