The Michigan Boating Industries Association is introducing the Boater's Association of Michigan to give state boat owners a voice on the legislative and regulatory issues that impact their boating lifestyle.
For $25 a year, members can enjoy representation in Lansing, the state capital, and also discounts at participating marine businesses and boat shows, as well as networking opportunities at scheduled social events. A new site, www.boatmichigan.org, is the portal and information source for members as well as a product and service guide for boaters.
"There are many challenges to the future of Michigan boating," said Eric Foster, general partner of Belle Maer Harbor, in a statement. "I highly recommend all boaters to join BAM - sailors, powerboaters, paddle-sport enthusiasts and anglers. Uniting all segments of our industry can insure Michigan maintains its leadership role in boating nationwide and that we protect boating for future generations."
