Moving Into Retirement

Published in the November 2013 Issue November 2013 News

Ricky Lee, owner of California Houseboat Service (www.movehouseboats.com), officially retired this summer after 31 years of service to our industry.

“I would like to thank Mr. Jim ‘Ed’ Sharpe for fathering the industry that a lot of people have come to love,” says Lee. “During my career I have met several different people from all walks of life and I have been fortunate enough to see many different areas of the country.”

Lee has chosen the Lake Berressa area in California to retire and is looking forward to planting roots with his wife and three children.

“I would like to thank all of the many loyal houseboaters, boat brokers, marinas and factories who faithfully trusted and supported me and my company,” adds Lee. “California Houseboats is for sale, including all trucks, trailers, equipment, phone lines, and the website.”

If interested in purchasing, contact Ford Brothers Realty in Somerset, Ky., at 606-271-0774. The staff at Houseboat magazine would like to wish Lee the best as he moves into retirement.
