March 2020 News

Keeping gear secure but readily at hand has long proven a challenge to kayak, sailboat, runabout and fishing boat owners alike. Eye Straps and Lacing Hooks from Beckson Marine are the convenient anchor points for equipment-wrangling shock cords and netting containment solutions. This versatile hardware has many other uses, too.

Made from high-grade nylon for extreme durability, Beckson BKT-04 Eye Straps have 5/16" openings and measure just 1-7/8" long. Two models provide installation choices: BKT-04-C has countersunk mounting holes for traditional screws, while BKT-04-S features a flat upper surface for pop rivets, or pan head or round head fasteners. For big jobs, the Beckson BKT-2B Bracket Strap Eye steps up to the task with a 2" opening. All come in a discreet black finish that won't mar or stain boat surfaces. Custom colors are available with quantity orders.

For even greater versatility, Eye Straps can be used in conjunction with Beckson's compact black BKT-02 Lacing Hook. Measuring just 1" long, it accommodates up to 1/4" dia. cords. It's even strong enough for light sailboat rigging and furling duties. Alternately, the Lacing Hook makes a handy hanging storage option for small items such as keys or swimsuits. All sold in 5-packs, the Beckson Marine BKT-04 Eye Strap, BKT-02 Lacing Hook and BKT-2B Bracket retail for $5.35 each.
